The Medical Management Prototype objective is to ensure that NATO has the ability to manage a large number of casualties that may occur on the battlefield during large scale warfighting intervention on the continental land mass of Europe.
- Patient Tracking – To keep track of patients as they movethrough the chain of care from point of wounding to definitive and rehabilitation care. Any category of patient can be tracked, active duty, POW, displaced persons, refugees, civilians.
- Patient Regulation – To move patients using the most effective transport platform, to the most effective medical treatment facility based on medical need.
- Medical Treatment Directory – Real time information on medical treatment facilities and evacuation assets, both military and civilian.
- Medical Reporting – Data to feed the NATO Common Operating Picture which assists the commander in decision making.
