The Dynamic Integrated NATO Operational System for Air-to-Air Refueling (DINO SAAR) is a software solution designed to optimize Air-to-Air Refuelling (AAR) missions within the NATO Alliance, providing recommendations for AAR mission preparation and execution. This platform simplifies the complexities of AAR through integrated data processing and algorithms.
DINO SAAR enhances coordination and execution of missions across NATO Air Forces, ensuring efficient mission planning and execution of Refuelling missions. It introduces a range of critical capabilities essential for Air, Joint, and Multi Domain Operations. It allows dynamic re-tasking/automatic recommendation of tanker pairing with receiver aircraft based on mission requests, handling up to 300 tankers and 1000 mission requests per ATO cycle. The system allows for adjustments to operational plans as well as real-time adjustments, and its flexibility enables proactive management of new and amended mission requests in response to changing conditions such as airspace restrictions and tanker availability, etc.
The system will integrate with the NEC CCIS system, enabling precise mission planning and execution. By ensuring that tanker aircraft operate within designated time and airspace, the system minimizes risk and maximizes operational efficiency. This capability is crucial for extending the range and endurance of aircraft engaged in offensive and defensive operations. DINO SAAR has the potential to enhance operational efficiency and safety through comprehensive data integration and advanced planning tools.
