DINO SAAR Successfully Delivered to Allied Air Command for Operational Use
The DINO SAAR System — Dynamic Integrated NATO Operational System for Air-to-Air Refuelling — was successfully tested during NATO Ramstein Ambition 2025 and Steadfast Duel 2025 exercises and demonstrated significant gains in operational efficiency, resource savings, and mission scalability. DINO SAAR delivered fast, fully automated planning and mission execution, transforming a single Air Task Order(ATO) into a complete set of tanker missions, reducing tanker requirements, and enabling seamless integration with existing NATO Air C3 Systems.
Operational Validation at RAAM25 and STDU25.

During the Ramstein Ambition 2025 and Steadfast Duel 2025 exercises, ACT Innovation, AIRCOM, and NEC CCIS SSC operationally deployed and tested DINO SAAR, a mission planning, execution, and training system for Air-to-Air Refuelling.
This marked the first real-world use of the tool in an operational environment, aimed at automating and optimizing AAR mission workflows.
Key highlights from the evaluation and operational use:
- Mission Planning — Fully automated, drastically reducing preparation time.
- Execution — Automated with real-time data updates.
- System Integration — Seamless interoperability with NATO Air C3 Systems within the NATO operational network.
- Performance Benchmark — Solutions generated by DINO SAAR require fewer tankers for the same mission set, resulting in significant fuel and resource savings and increased availability for additional missions and operations.
Warfighters noted the operational impact best:
“With fewer tankers needed and more efficient routing, we’re getting more punch per gallon.”
Strategic Implications and Next Steps.
Exercise results indicate DINO SAAR offers substantial operational and economic advantages and is primed for rapid scaling across NATO Nations with AAR capabilities. ALLIED AIR COMMAND is conducting the formal procedure to implement the DINO SAAR System as the primary tool for AAR/tanker mission planning and execution in future NATO operations.
In sum: real operational impact, real savings, real momentum.
DINO SAAR isn’t just a tech demo — it’s the future of smart AirPower planning and mission execution.
